This is so interesting! A.A. is rightly pilloried for being very non-evidence-based in its precepts, but it also reliably brings people *together* to [help each other](#mutualism) in a way that I'm skeptical that our more evidence-based [healthcare](#healthcare) provision system could in [my country](#usa).
